FREDA KUNDU
Freda Kundu, a Ngan’gikurunggurr woman born c. 1965, is primarily a weaver at Durrmu Arts. Freda weaves wupun coiled baskets with yerrgi (pandanus) and wargarrdi dilly bags with merrepen (sand palm).
Freda led the weaving demonstration at the 2007 Open Day at Peppimenarti.
Freda took part in the 2009 Basil Hall Editions printmaking workshop and produced two etchings, her first experience with the new medium.
